about

"Water Dancers" is a demo, written for a friend's play, that didn't end up being used.

lyrics

We slip into this world of water
Rivers, creeks, and oceans 'round
Listen for the raindrops laughter
We can hear it in the sound

In dancing feet that pitter patter
Joyous way we splash around
Hearts and bodies know what matter
Playing in the here and now

And waves wash over
& streams flow by
Water is our Mother
She gives us life

In dancing feet & pitter patter
Spinning 'round & falling down
On the ground we hear a chatter
Calling all, the strange new sound

We love our Mother
She gives us life
But now there is another
So we ignore her cries

about

Ash McDaniel Tennessee

I started playing the guitar and writing songs at 15 and have been at it ever since, even though I've "traveled the breadth of extremities" (Joni Mitchell, Hejira) between then and now. Here I am, again.
